MacGyver Season 2X07: Duct Tape + Jack

Jack(George Eads) is showing the gang his pad-finally. But when they arrive, it has been broken into. Not everything was taken, but Jack’s precious cigar box is among the missing. The cigar box has his dad’s dog tags, and they mean more to Jack than any other missing item. Jack, Cage(Isabel Lucas), Riley(Tristin Mays), and MacGyver(Lucas Till) are tasked by Matty(Meredith Eaton) with transporting a heart to an ailing Ecuadorian political leader. No easy task, as his despotic rival is going to try to stop them.
Bozer Left Behind
Bozer(Justin Hires) is sitting out this mission as he must finish some disguises for another group of Phoenix agents. As he has a little free time on his hands, he decides to get Jack’s things back, and uses his detective skills to find the culprit.
Ecuador Isn’t Oz(But it does have a heart)
The team races to get the heart to Leon, the political leader, but his rival has other ideas. After picking up a pro-Leon doctor, they are stopped and the heart is taken. The goods from the gang’s truck is split up into two Jeeps, and they have no idea which one has the heart. MacGyver helps them escape by making a teargas bomb. But which Jeep has the heart? They guess, and wrongly, and precious time is wasted. They catch up to the correct Jeep, but in stopping it, they damage the pump that keeps the heart viable.
Luckily, Jack has compatible blood, and the poor guy becomes a living pump, keeping the heart going until the gang can get the heart to Leon.
Not what you think it is, but it is funny.

Another Hurdle, But MacGyver Jumps It
The rival has one more trick up his sleeve. He shuts electricity off at the hospital where Leon is hidden. But MacGyver saves the day by building a generator from a scooter.
Riley hacks into the television station to let Leon appear to reassure the country that he is alive and well.
Back at home, Bozer presents Jack with his cigar box, and we see a touching moment with Jack talking to his father’s dog tags.
Thoughts on MacGyver Season 2X07
George Eads, even in his CSI days, has always made me cry when he does.
The heart puns-I love puns, so that was fun.
Bozer’s heart(okay, that wasn’t a pun) is so big that he not only catches the thief, he puts him on the right path. He is pure good guy through and through.
I love that there is more than just MacGyver working for Phoenix in the field. This is a bit different from the original; logically it makes more sense. No huge corporation would rely on one hero, and there is always more than one conflict going on in the world at the same time. Cool to think that there are other MacGyver types out there of every race and gender, saving the world.
