Lucifer is Cancelled by FOX
It is with great sadness that we tell you that Lucifer is cancelled by the execs at FOX. It is the latest show to fall under the axe, after Brooklyn 99’s cancellation was announced yesterday.
The Morningstar himself, Tom Ellis, took to twitter to confirm the news.
It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted

The announcement comes just days before FOX’s Upfronts presentation, where they will confirm their 2018-19 line-up.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson also tweeted an appeal to fans to speak up if they want to save their show.
For people asking what to do… MAKE NOISE. I have no idea if we have a shot of coming back, but I know sure as anything that everyone wants to. We have so many more stories to tell. #Lucifer

It wouldn’t be the first show to be revived after a cancellation, Timeless managed it, and FOX themselves have resurrected Last Man Standing after it was given the chop by ABC. Fan campaigns can certainly make a difference, and as of right now, the hashtag #SaveLucifer is trending number 1 worldwide on twitter. There are plenty of streaming services out there who could swoop in an rescue the show, so if you are a fan, and you don’t want to say good bye to your show, go check out the hashtag and make your voice heard!
