Jamie Chung joins Untitled X-Men Series

Jamie Chung to play Blink.

We recently reported that Fox have ordered a pilot for an X-Men series directed by Bryan Singer. Marvel have just announced the first members of the cast.

Jamie Chung will play Clarice Fong aka Blink. An established character from the X-Men comics, Blink possesses the power of teleportation using portals she can summon. In the recent X-Men: Days of Future Past movie she was played by Fan Bing Bing. Jamie is no stranger to genre work, having played Mulan in Once Upon a Time and Valerie Vale in Gotham.

The official news from Marvel adds that “Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home,’ Clarice is slowly becoming herself again.”

Jamie joins Blair Redford who will play a character called Sam, the leader of the mutant underground. Blair has had recurring roles on shows such as Satisfaction and Switched at Birth.

The Untitled FOX Marvel Project, written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer, will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

We will be keeping a close eye on this one and will bring you more news as we get it!

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
