Ricky Whittle AND-OR Richard Rankin

If You Love Ricky Whittle AND/OR Richard Rankin Then One Day in Rickland Is For YOU

One Day in #Rickland is a private, exclusive fan meet. A limited number of fans will enjoy a magical experience with Ricky Whittle and Richard Rankin. Did you hear this? A MAGICAL DAY with BOTH Ricky Whittle AND Richard Rankin. You can witness the bromance firsthand.

If you are a fan of shows like The 100, and American Gods, then you of course know who Ricky Whittle is. In case you are living under a rock, Ricky stars in the hit series for Starz, where he is the lead Shadow Moon. Read on for a little more info on Ricky.

A little Ricky Knowledge:

Richard Whittle (born 31 December 1981) is an English actor. Whittle first came to prominence as a model for Reebok in the early 2000s. He is best known in the United Kingdom for his role as Calvin Valentine in the British soap opera Hollyoaks. In 2009, he placed second in the BBC reality competition Strictly Come Dancing. In 2012, Whittle crossed over to American television when he booked a recurring role on VH-1’s Single Ladies, followed by a recurring role on ABC’s Mistresses in 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Whittle appeared in The CW’s post-apocalyptic drama The 100 as Lincoln. Beginning in 2017, Whittle appears in the lead role of Shadow Moon in the Starz television series American Gods.

Richard Rankin has shot to fame playing the adorable, kind, and somewhat awkward Roger Mackenzie Wakefield on the Starz hit drama Outlander.

Rankin Knowledge:

Richard Rankin (born Richard Harris on 4 January 1983) is a Scottish film, television and theatre actor. He is best known for the Scottish sketch show Burnistoun and as Roger Mackenzie Wakefield in the Starz drama Outlander.

Rankin was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1983 and spent part of his childhood in the West End of the city before moving to King’s Park when he was ten years old, eventually attending Stonelaw High School. One of four boys born to a police officer father and a mother in the hotel industry, he originally planned a career in the sciences or Information Technology.

Rankin initially attended Glasgow Caledonian University as an IT major, but changed course after a chance encounter at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel during a holiday in Los Angeles. A local film producer told the then 22-year-old that he had the look of an actor, and upon his return to Glasgow, Rankin auditioned for Langside College with his brother Colin Harris. Both graduated and went on to a career in acting, but when Rankin, who was then known by his birth name of Richard Harris, applied for his Equity card he began using his mother’s maiden name (Rankine) to prevent confusion with Irish actor Richard Harris.

Rankin began his professional career in 2006 by starring along side Robert Florence in VideoGaiden, a Scottish video game show originally aired on BBC Two Scotland. Between 2007 and 2010 he made appearances on episodic Scottish television programs Legit (2007) and The Old Guys (2009) for the BBC and Taggart (2010) for STV.

I know what you are thinking, besides both show’s being on STARZ, why are these two having a day together. Simple, they have an epic bromance that started back at San Diego Comic Con. If you follow both of them on Instagram, they often post pics and funnies to their stories.
