FThe Blood Queen shares the new Hellboy promotional banner

Milla Jovovich, the actress that plays Nimue The Blood Queen, shared the banner on her Instagram account. She lets us know that it’s on Wilshire Boulevard in LA.

The banner features art from Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. It shows the titular hero and the villain he face. The Blood Queen, also known as Lady of the Lake from Legend, is a major villain in the comic series by Dark Horse Comics. In the comics, The Blood Queen is responsible for his demise and further adventure in Hell.

The new movie will be a reboot directed by Neil Marshall. David Harbour will be portraying Hellboy. Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim and Penelope Mitchell are also aboard.

Kim of course was cast as Ben Daimio, who in Mignola’s comic books is a Japanese American whose heritage has a heavy influence on his character. Ed Skrein had gotten the part originally but respectfully stepped down from the role amid a whitewashing backlash.

The movie will be R-rated. The title was changed from Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen to simply Hellboy. It’s being penned by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and Mignola.

The reboot is scheduled to arrive on January 11th 2019.
