The Holidays are here, not to mention the fact that it’s Small Business Saturday today, so just in case you’re stuck for ideas for a gift for the geek in your life (or for yourself) then the gang here at FANdemoniumNetwork are on hand to help. We’ve pulled together a selection of our fave geeky/fandom inspired crafts-people to bring you a selection of online stores you could do some last minute Christmas shopping at.
Phoenix Copper Art
Copper artist Will hand embosses sheets of copper with all sorts of things and then turns them into hand bound journals, or wall plaques mounted and ready to be framed. Based in Edinburgh, Will has seen the growing love for Outlander recently launched some leather and tartan journals (contact for more info). Copper journals make great autograph books for the convention goer in your life. He takes commissions.
2 of the many journals I have had from Will over the years, the Green Arrow one was straight off the shelf but the other one I commissioned as a Christmas gift to myself last year.

LupineMagicArt
Kate Perchard takes images from your favourite fandoms, including Harry Potter, Walking Dead, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries, and recreates them using graphite and inks before making them into tiles which are combined with other symbolic images to make fandom inspired mosaics. These mosaics are applied to journals, diaries, trinket boxes, photo frames and more.

Allis B Designing
A FANdemoniumNetwork fave, Allis B is a jewellery designer whose range includes book cover earrings for Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games, and in keeping with the current season, the most adorable crocheted Storm Trooper!

Cheryl’s Creative Block – Luminaries
Cheryl’s Creative Blocks, aka Luminaries, wooden bases which support a sleeve of images of your fave fandom idols, lit up by a battery powered tea-light or a mains plug. Cheryl has a wide range of pre-made luminaries available on her Etsy store, or there are options to create your own. Imagine your very own beside night light with your fave tv/movie crushes to send you off to sweet dreams.

Alyce n Maille
Alyce n Maille only hit my radar last night, perfect timing if you ask me, since she has made jewellery that has been worn by characters in Jane the Virgin, The Vampire Diaries and my beloved The Originals. The crystal drop earrings worn by Aurora Du Martel (played by the fabulous Rebecca Breeds) in the most recent episode of The Originals were an Alyce n Maille creation. She also has a rather fabulous selection of chainmaille jewellery that’s making my wallet wince as I pick out the bits I love.
You can find her “As seen on TV” selection here, and from there you can click through to the rest of her Etsy store.
Well, we hope you like our gift ideas, please do feel free to mention your faves in the comments, and Happy Holidays to you all!
