With the first award show of the season in the books it’s time to look at the fashions that made us swoon, and say wow. Light colors with sparkles seemed to be the go to of the season. But you can never go wrong with the classics.
These are in no particular order, just what tickled my fancy.
Let’s first talk about Kate Hudson in this jaw dropping Versace white gown. OH.MY.GOD. Does it not look like it was perfectly molded to her body?
JLo always stuns. The 45 year old mother of two, yes mother of two, had heads turning and tails wagging. Jennifer wore Zuhair Murad and set the tone for this award show. Low plunging, almost nude with stones and sequins and plenty of leg was a stunner.
Can we talk about Rosamund Pike. She gave birth five, yes five weeks ago and showed up with this low plunged ethereal Vera Wang gown with side cut outs. Gutsy and amazing, this Brit pulled it off and turned heads all for the right reasons.
Sienna Miller, continued the trend with sparkles and shine and low cut gowns. Turning heads in her Miu Miu gown.
The men didn’t disappoint on the carpet. Jamie Dornan looked ever so much suave sophisticated and debonair when he showed up on the carpet. Channeling his alter ego in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey Christian Grey. Matt Bomer wore a navy blue tux, and looked dapper and put together and reminding us of old school Hollywood.
New comer Gina Rodriguez, Jane the Virgin looked amazing in her floor length black gown with fringe at the bottom. Minimal jewelry, and make up and looked amazing and pulled together as if she has been hitting the carpet for years. The new comer brought me to tears when she won, her speech was sweet, sentimental and humble.
Lorde stayed true to herself and her age and wore a revealing midriff top making her mens wear look feminine and put together with the wow factor diamond necklace and her smile!
Julianne More one word stunning! Sequins and feathers and a custom made Givenchy Haute Couture gown, to die for!
Jessica Chastain wows in a V-neck plunging by Versace. Talk about a head-turning look.
One of my faves of all time is the stunningly beautiful Kate Beckinsale. This British beauty did not disappoint when she showed up on the red carpet wearing Elie Saab. Does she age at all? She was pulled together and knows how to show her assets and still look classy.
Our fave couples are no brainers.
Big year for George Clooney, he got married and wore his wedding tuxedo to the award show! His gorgeous wife Amal on his arm stunned the crowds with the air of old school Hollywood glamour. Amal wore Dior Haute Couture and very ladylike white gloves and Harry Winston statement earrings and the best accessory of them all, George by her side.
Can Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna look any better and more perfect together? Chivalry isn’t dead with this couple Channing was holding and carrying his wife’s train as they made their way down the carpet. Jenna Dewan-Tatum was wearing a stunning yellow Caroline Herrera number. Channing joked, “that he has an hourly rate if anyone needs their train held.”
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt. Just adorbs! The couple joked on the carpet, presented together and I think by far was the cutest couple at the award show. It really doesn’t matter what they are wearing. They are too cute, adorable and so in love.

I know that Jamie Dornan is a happily married man. But I had to post the pic of our Christian and Ana, Dakota Johnson. They presented an award and yes we got to see a Fifty Shades of Grey trailer on the very next commercial break. So yes, they had to be on my best dressed couples list.
Some honorable mentions to the best dressed list:
Anna Kendrick, looked the fairy tale princess in her Monique Lhuillier pink gown.
The Brits were in full swing and Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey fame, not only looked amazing with her hair pulled back in a delicate plait, gorgeous flower embellished navy long gown and brilliant tan, but pulled a huge upset winning for best supporting TV actress. She plays Anna on Downton her storyline was about a rape victim and surviving. This was her first nomination and first win.
Who were some of your faves at the award show?
