Chicago Med Season 3 Recap | What Broke our Hearts – Or Not!
As we all know and well remember – it was a rough season on Chicago Med. We had a lot of downs but also a few ups. Let’s go through this season and also the previous seasons together and relive the happiest bust also the saddest moments of this heartwrecking show.
That Moment we nearly lost Herrmann!
GUYS remember that Chicago Fire/Chicago Med/Chicago P.D. crossover where we nearly lost Herrmann (David Eigenberg)?! I can still feel it in my bones. I remember when I watched that scenes that I was holding my breath because that just couldn’t happen.
At first Dawson (Monica Raymund) was doing her best to treat Herrmann as good and fast as possible – even tho she was a firefighter around that time.
As they arrive at the hospital Dr. Rhodes (Collin Donnell) prepared to treat Herrmann. I can still remember how frighten each and everyone was about this. Thank God Dr. Rhodes is a professional and did the best to help and treat Herrmann.
While all this went down at Chicago Med – EVERYONE was waiting and hoping and praying for Herrmann. Those were such intense scenes I could start crying all over again.
After those heartwrecking moments – we finally got the good news and Herrmann was okay and in recovery.
But still .. this was probably the most intense episode or crossover episodes of all seasons so far!
Manstead Is Real!
Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) and Will (Nick Gehlfuss)
In my opinion you saw it from the beginning of the show. Those two just have chemestry and it would’ve been awful if we didn’t get what we thought was made to be.
We had to wait two whole seasons until we got the dreamy couple. We had a lot of ups and downs with both of them this season. But in the end we all know they are meant to be!
Let’s wait and see what will come our way in season 4 of Chicago Med airing this fall!
Deaths that made us tear up (or not)!
Dr. Downey (Gregg Henry)
The doctors at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center see death everyday but Dr. Downey’s was a tough pill to swallow for the entire staff and Dr. Rhodes in particular. He came to town midway through the first season as rock star surgeon who takes Connor under his wing and the two formed a tough but tight bond. In the final episodes of season one, it was revealed that Dr. Downey was battling cancer, which spread to his brain and killed him in the season finale. Connor paid tribute in the finale by traveling to his favorite place, Hawaii, to spread his ashes.
Robert Haywood (Michel Gill)
We only met Dr. Sarah Rese’s (Rachel DiPillo) father Robert Haywood in season 3 of Chicago Med, but we are wishing we’d never met him. We all remember just too well how terrible a father he is.
Robert was established as having abandoned Sarah and her mother in a contentious split when she was a child. Then, when nobody was expecting it, he reappeared and immediately started saying everthing Reese wanted to hear. He claimed that he had been trying to contact her for years and wanted to reconnect (YEA SURE). In reality, he was just trying to see how much he could get out of her (sad truth).
Our hero Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) quickly diagnosed Robert with a personality disorder to go with his life-threatening heart condition.
