DC spinoff movie centered on the crazy supervillain Harley Quinn – Starring Margot Robbie
We’ve got amazing news FANdemanicas! Margot Robbie will be starring in the DC spinoff movie centered around our beloved and slightly crazy villain Harley Quinn.
The movie will be based on the Birds of Prey comic and will be directed by Cathy Yan.
Producing will be Sue Kroll and her Kroll & Co Entertainment along with Bryan Unkeless of Clubhouse Pictures.
Female Filmmakers going strong!
The DC spinoff will be the second Film in the DC Universe wich will be directed by a female filmmaker! Yan will be the second female filmmaker after Patty Jenkins who already directed the hit movie Wonder Woman.
As for now the script is still being worked on, but chances are really good that Yan will take over directing for Birds of Prey.
More of Margot Robbie to come
Production for Birds of Prey is expected to start at the end of this year. Margot Robbie is a busy bee and will finish shooting for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood before starting her new project.
The sequel to Suicide Squad is planned to start production sometime this year as well.
