What’s Up Next For Our Shadowhunters In Season 2

Shadowhunters In Season 2

So Much Can Happen to Our Shadowhunters In Season 2…

What will happen with Malec and Clace, will love prevail?

Amidst the monsters, Freeform’s Shadowhunters is a love story. In Season One, the young adult series introduced viewers to Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood). But that was before ripping away everyone’s happiness by the revelation that the lovers are siblings. What will become of Clace in Season 2?

Fans who have read the books already know what will happen to the love story of Clary and Jace in Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes. However, the Freeform series hasn’t really stuck too religiously with its source material. The tv series introduced certain elements from other books in Season 1. With a new show-runner coming to helm its future, the fate of the characters are still unknown.

However, this does not stop or won’t stop anyone from speculating what happens next to their favorite characters. Based on the events of the finale, there will be less Clace moments of our Shadowhunters in Season 2. One, Jace left his adopted family, the Lightwoods, to join his father, Valentine (Alan Van Sprang).

Sherwood previously shared that his character, Jace, will go off the rails in Season 2. The actor explained that because the shadowhunter is in league with evil this time, he is free to do whatever he wants.

Moreover, his allegiance with Valentine means he will not get to share the same screen with Clary. In addition, since they just found out that they are siblings, the relationship between Clary and Jace will probably not progress in Season 2. This also means that Simon (Alberto Rosende) might swoop in and sweep Clary off her feet, can we put in a request for the latter please.

As for everyone’s OTP Malec (Magnus + Alec), Shadowhunters executive producer Michael Reiz said,

“Having Alec come out at the end of Season One is truly just a beginning for both Alec and Magnus, in terms of where they both individually will go, and where they will go potentially as a couple,” he told Paste Magazine. “But that doesn’t mean everything always works out.”

Does that mean the road will be rocky for the Shadowhunter and the High Warlock of Brooklyn in Season 2? Viewers will find out when Shadowhunters returns for Season 2. We want to hear from you FANdemaniacs in the comments below!
