What’s New On Netflix In May 2016, A John Hughes Classic

When good things leave the streaming service, they reward us by adding some new titles.

The streaming service is set to cheer you up in May by adding timeless classics Bring It On and Bring It On: All Or Nothing. If you don’t like cheerleading movies, Netflix is bringing you new and returning originals, too.

Coming-netflix-may-16-candlesLove classic movies such as Sixteen Candles, well you are in luck the John Hughes classic is finally heading to Netflix. Who doesn’t want to relive the classic movie, starring 80s movie darlings Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall. You remember it. It was about a young girl’s “sweet sixteenth” birthday that becomes anything but special as she suffers from every embarrassment possible. The movie that spawned a generation of classic comedies by the true legend John Hughes, that left us with some classic lines and memories. Such as:

Grandma Helen: Oh Sam, let me look at you. Fred, she’s gotten her boobies.

Grandpa Fred: [chuckles] I better go get my magnifying glass.

Grandma Helen: Oh, and they are so Perky.

Grandma Helen: [reaches to cup them]

Samantha: [cut to Sam’s bedroom] I can’t believe my Grandmother actually felt me up.

That one not as memorable as the hilarious Long Duk Dong:

Long Duk Dong: Ohhh, sexy girlfriend!… Bonzai!

Or

Long Duk Dong: Very clever dinner. Appetizing food fit neatly into interesting round pie.

Mike Baker: It’s a quiche.

Long Duk Dong: How do you spell?

Grandpa Fred: Well you don’t spell it, son, you eat it.

[laughs]

The laughs and memories of Sixteen Candles are amazing, make sure you catch it and come up with your own fave lines and scenes when this movie comes to Netflix in May.
