Watch: ‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ Trailer
Kate Beckinsale and Theo James have returned in the new trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars.
Blood Wars is the fifth installment in the blockbuster Underworld franchise.
The film follows Selene (Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice. Will first time director, and the franchises first female director, Anna Foerster, be able to pull the audience back in from the rather dismal reviews of the earlier Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans? So far there seems to be positive response to the new film, which was originally set to be released October 2016, but was pushed back to January 2017 with a limited release.
Also joining Beckinsale and James is Tobias Menzies (Marius) and Bradley James.
