WATCH: New Suicide Squad Trailer

Suicide Squad

With the movie in re-shoots ahead of its August release, last night’s MTV Movie Awards offered up a new trailer for Suicide Squad and it’s EVEN MORE FUN than the last one.

With yet more excellent music choices (a haunting cover of You Don’t Own Me by Grace ft G-Eazy and the ever brilliant Ballroom Blitz) the new trailer gives us more team interaction than the previous ones have. Boomerang ‘flirting’ with Katana, Harley playing bartender to her teammates and Will Smith’s Deadshot provoking Jay Hernandez’s fire-throwing El Diablo. Not to mention a LOT more of Jared Leto’s creepy-ass take on the Joker than we have been graced with before.

Leto himself tweeted the trailer and said “Feels good to be bad”

We also get a reference to Superman and shots of Ben Affleck’s Batman car-surfing through the city streets and the Batmobile following what looks like The Joker and Harley Quinn.

The cast all seem to have had a ball making this one, and I am really excited to see the finished product come August. Who’s with me?

Suicide Squad stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevigne, Joel Kinnaman, Jay HernandezAdewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis, Karen Fukuhara and Common. It’s released August 5th.

I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
