WATCH: New ‘Daredevil’ TV Spot

Good vs. Evil.  Who’s wrong, who’s right? There are two sides both wanting the same outcome, their hometown to be changed for the better, but who is going about it the right way.   The new Netflix series, Daredevil, is amping up to be a somewhat violent, stunt filled series.   I think that’s why it’s a good thing it’s not going to be subject to network television standards.

On one side, you have Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, a man to be feared when he is in “monster” mode, but rambles when he’s talking to a woman.

“There’s no end to what makes him who he is,” Vincent D’Onofrio told the Short List. “In two sentences, Fisk can move from a child into a monster.”

On the other side you have Matt Murdock/Daredevil, a lawyer by day (blinded at the age of 9) and at night, a masked crusader taking the law into his own hands.

“There’s definitely something more human about him,” agrees Cox. “I think people will relate to that.

We will also get to see the main character come to a war within himself as to whether he is doing the correct thing.  Short List was able to speak with the actor portraying the role of Murdock/Daredevil, Charlie Cox, to get the scoop.

“As the season progresses he becomes more torn between what he thinks is the right thing to do and what isn’t,” Cox said. “We see him begin to fall apart at the seams.”

So, who will change Hell’s Kitchen for the better?  Tune into Netflix on April 10th for the series premiere.  Until then, enjoy the new TV Spot.
