Veronica Roth Talks About ‘Insurgent’ Simulation Scenes

Insurgent

Do you ever wonder how an author of a best-selling franchise feels when their book makes it big and hits the big screen?  In an exclusive behind the scenes interview on the upcoming Blu-Ray for Insurgent, author Veronica Roth talks about the famous simulation scenes and how she had an eye-opening experience when they were amplified for the theaters.

The Divergent Series second installment, Insurgent, arrives on Digital HD on July 21 with the Blu-Ray and DVD versions following shortly after (August 4).  In a featurette clip, Roth states (seen below in an exclusive clip from Entertainment Weekly):

“In the movie, you can show [the series of simulations] in such great detail, and they can become so much bigger, and so much cooler, and so much stranger than you ever imagined,” she says. “So for me, that’s been the best part of seeing this movie get filmed, is just how huge and crazy the world has become.”

If you remember these scenes, Tris (Shailene Woodley) is subjected to these simulation tests to see whether she is a true Divergent, which is frowned upon in the society.

The Blu-Ray/DVD also includes:
• From Divergent to Insurgent
• The Others: Cast and Characters
• The Train Fight Unlocked
• The Peter Hayes Story
• Diverging: Adapting Insurgent to the Screen
• Marketing Gallery
• Audio Commentary with Producers

And don’t forget, the cast is currently filming the third installment in the series, Allegiant, which is slated to be released March 18, 2016.
