When Superman is mentioned, I listen
I saw that Superman was going to be coming back to Supergirl‘s season finale and it got me thinking about my favorite superhero.
There have been 3 TV Superman that have deepened the love that I have for Superman/Clark Kent. I thought I would be visit them and share why I love them and who is the best out of the 3.
3. Tyler Hoechlin
Supergirl (season 2)
This version of TV Superhero is a bit of a mystery because this show is based on Supergirl not Superman. But I do like the direction that have taken so far. First things first Tyler is a fine ass man, I mean you’ve seen him on TeenWolf (season 1 -3) with no shirt on…..HELLO HOTNESS!! But as Superman/Clark Kent he rocks the suit and he glasses. Like he was made for it. He even pulls off that bit of dorkness that Clark has about him. Since I haven’t seen enough as of yet I am putting him in last place.
2. Tom Welling
Smallville
I love this show and this Superman/Clark Kent for some meaning reasons. Most Superman shows/movies focus on Superman have he is already grown it the superhero we all know and love. But Smallville, focused on Clark in high school and still figuring out his place in the world. Tom Welling wasn’t a big star at this point and that also made him perfect for this role. He is also easy on the eyes. My one hung up on this show was he NEVER flew. COME ON HE IS SUPERMAN!!! He needed to be flying as soon as he could walk hahaha. Ok maybe not that soon, but soon enough. And that is why this TV Superman is 2nd.
*Sidenote this show had the best Lex Luthor to date!
1. Dean Cain
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of SuperMan (1993-1997)
Dean Cain used to play in the NFL. Did you know that? I did. And then he became Superman. And he was damn good at it too. I loved his boyish charm and he looked so good in that suit. His relationship with Lois (Terri Hatcher) was amazing. I loved watching them fall in and out of love. I am so happy they both returned to the small screen in the superhero world again. Now both playing recurring roles on Supergirl, even though they are not acting together, it is amazing to see them again in the DCTV world. This is my #1 superman on TV because with this show we got it all.
