This week I looked through my collection and one stood out, this film has 3 strong female leads played by 3 strong female actresses, Rachel Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson and Tara Reid. We see an all-female band who are willing to try what it takes to make it big and showcase their style and sound to the people out there.

Josie (Rachel Leigh Cook) and her two best friends Melody (Tara Reid) and Val (Rosario Dawson) are all of a sudden discovered by one of the hottest managers known Wyatt Frame (Alan Cumming) he gets them a deal with MegaRecords as the replacement for one of their top bands who disappear after a plane crash. Fiona the CEO at the company takes them under her wing to try to mould them to the image she wants to be portrayed out to the people.
They soon have a hit number one single and are almost swept away with the motions until they discover that the company has subliminal messages in the records to control the youth of today and after some small arguments and the realisation that they are still friends they fight back. This film has songs played and sung by the girls and the music is really good and can get you swinging along with them, so listen to my favourite songs from this good film.
