Stella Lilith used to have an adventurous side, but I think it’s been a while sinceshe broke a few rules. “Will you climb out first?”There’s my girl. “Yep.” I press down on the sink, hoping it doesn’t fall offthe wall. It looks old, so I’m not sure it can hold my weight. But it’s getting louderin the hall, so I climb up, grabbing an exposed pipe above the window, andmaneuver my legs through the opening. Good thing we’re on the ground level.Pushing off, I land on my feet in the alley and turn around. “Stella?”She peeks out and by the way her lips are twisted and her eyes are lookingat the cement, she’s nervous. “I don’t want to fall.”“I’d never let you. Not to the ground anyhow.”For a second, she looks confused, but her brow relaxes and a small smileappears. “You’ll catch me?”“Every time.”She disappears, and I can hear her climbing onto the sink. Her legs slideout the window until her ass rests on the metal sill. “Ready for me, Rivers?”“All my life.”“For real,” she says, her nerves causing a slight shake to her tone. “You’regoing to catch me, right?”“Always.” I take her by the ass, and say, “Put your legs over my shoulders.”“What? No.”“Yes. I’ve got you. Then all I have to do is back up as you slip out.”“I’m not as light as I used to be. Are you sure you can handle me?”I work my way under her so her legs are over my shoulders. “Don’t worryabout me, baby. I can handle you all right.”Her thighs squeeze my neck. I like to think it was the name I slipped inthere, but it’s probably because she’s anxious to do this. She slips out a littlemore, and our eyes meet. “You’re sure you’re ready?”“All you have to do is let go. I have you.”Releasing the pipe, she ducks her head to the side while I support her backwith my hands, holding her until she clears the glass. Helping her upright, myface is against the jeans that cover her vagina and she’s squeezing my head withher legs so tight I don’t know if I’m going to live. What a sweet fucking way to die.
Rivers: Spoiler Free Review
This is a story about second chances and first loves. You remember that first love and how hard you fell for them. They were your everything and you were never going to break up. Nothing was going to separate the two of you. But life happens or jealous “friends” happen and instead of listening to your head, you listen to your heart and it’s over. You are broken and lonely. Yet you still long for that one that got away.
That is the case of Rivers and Stella. It was love at first sight. They loved hard and fast, thinking they were going to be together forever. But a misunderstanding and lack of trust breaks them up.
Rivers Crow
Rivers never got over Stella; many years have passed. He is now a rich and famous musician as are his brothers, The Crow Brothers. Even though all this time has passed, he have never forgot about his Stella. He finally decides he can’t take it anymore and he goes home to find her. He hopes that she will listen to him and forgive him.
Stella Fellowes
Stella thought she couldn’t get any lower when she lost Rivers, but then family has a way of kicking you when you are down. She has been hiding a secret and it has changed her a lot. Even her sister doesn’t know. Then one rainy day he came back into her life. She lies to him thinking it was the best way to deal with him. However, the heart wants what it wants. Rivers is what it wants, badly. The thing is Stella knows she is going to give in to him. She never stopped loving him either, but she is worried he won’t be able to forgive her for what she has done in their time apart.
So, What Did We Think?
To be honest, by now I should know what to except when it comes to reading a book by Mrs. Scott, but nope she gets me every time. I get sucked into her world and then she rips out my heart, or breaks my heart, or makes me feel things I don’t wanna feel. In her defense, she always makes it better and gives me a happy ending.
I love that the characters in her books are normal so to speak. They have really life problems that you can relate to. Maybe we can’t relate to dating a world-famous musician, but we can relate to their family issues, their heartbreak or their loss.
These Crow Brothers are just too damn hot and I would love to date any of them. I am excited that we aren’t saying goodbye to these characters just yet. In September, there will be another book to this series titled “Ridge” and I can’t wait to read that one.
