Outlander – Heaven and Earth

When two girls that love, I mean love Outlander, get together to chat up their fave show and discuss the episode, you can be sure giggles and a lot of swearing is in play. This week I (Brina) and Jenn are chatting up the latest episode of Outlander – Heaven and Earth.

Synopsis of Outlander – Heaven and Earth:

Claire (Caitriona Balfe) races to discover the source of an epidemic aboard a disease-stricken ship before hundreds of sailors die; Jamie (Sam Heughan) clashes with Capt. Raines (Richard Dillane); Fergus (César Domboy) is torn between loyalty and love.

Can I just say I called it. She finally listened to me and jumped. Only I would have done it sooner. Like when Jamie was still within swimming distance. hahaha. I am mean am I right or am I right?

Brina: So Jenn what do you think of this episode? How do you feel about this little bit of double crossing that has happened?

Jenn: Well this episode had it all really, don’t you think? We had mystery, and love and of course double crossing and intrigue. I really enjoyed Claire and her interaction with Elias. She was trying so hard not to mother him, but he clearly was the proper age for him to need one.

Brina: And what about the loss of Claire’s little helper Mr. Elias Pound (Albie Marber)?

Jenn: My heart broke. I was literally sobbing. I really didn’t expect him to die. What did you think of it B?

Brina: I loved him. He was just so cute and sweet to her. I agree, it was really heartbreaking.

Brina: I loved then Claire told the lie about Tompkins being a second carrier. What did you think of that?

Jenn: She is out to do anything she can to help her husband. I mean if the proper people find out, she will have gone back in time for nothing. Jamie will be hung.

Now lets talk Jamie, he is is jail again, seasick again, and missing his woman again. Just bad luck or is Claire messing up his life by coming back?

Jenn: When have these two ever had it easy? It has seemed that luck is against them this time around. You forget though there is 20 years more of living these two have done. More twists and turns and plots twists within their lives before Claire came back.

What are you thoughts on Fergus? And what he did or should I say didn’t do for Jamie?

Jenn: I still adore Fergus. He has turned into a lovely man. His loyalty to Jamie hasn’t wavered since the two became acquainted and together all those years ago. Fergus is French, and the British don’t seem to like the French for one. Second, he is down a hand. He is a target. So, not helping Jamie was hard to watch and it had to be a hard decision for him to come to. But they would know he set him free and if it failed he would be tossed overboard for sure.

What are your thoughts on how that was handled Brina?

Brina: I totally understand why he did what he did but it pains me to see Jamie so sad. But it also shows how Fergus has grown up to he a strong man. In away, Jamie must be proud.

Last Question, if I die on a ship, would you be able to put a needle through my nose?

Jenn: {laughs} this reminds me of the car commercial that came out. The one where they have three people, and one of them has to pick the friend that gets the award for being the best friend.

That being said, do they still have you do that in recent times B?

Brina: that commercial is just wrong, i could never pick. I would think they wouldn’t do that anymore. God, I hope that don’t do that anymore.

Jenn: I am a queasy one, I am not sure if I could do it, but if I was the only one there and it had to be done, I suppose I could. Could you do that to me?

Brina: I am weird one, I don’t touch dead stuff. Hell I barely even touch raw meat. So would I touch my bestie dead body……..I am tell you like I tell my mom’s every Thanksgiving, “Give me the gloves and lets do this”
