Rosario Dawson: From Marvel to DC

Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple in Daredevil

If you happen to follow Marvel’s new Netflix series Daredevil, then you probably recognize Rosario Dawson from the few episodes that she portrayed Claire Temple.  Even though she is reprising her role in Season Two and is said to be bringing the character to another new Netflix show (Luke Cage, which is also a Marvel comic), it was just announced that she has been cast as the voice of Barbara Gordon, aka BatGirl, in Warner Brothers Lego Batman.

Dawson is joining the cast alongside Will Arnett (voice of Batman), Michael Cera (Robin) and Zach Galifianakis (who is in talks to voice The Joker).

Dawson’s love for comics has led her to not only the roles in the Netflix series, but also to lending her voice as Wonder Woman in DC’s Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Artemis in Wonder Woman.

Lego Batman is the spinoff to the popular The Lego Movie.  The movie is slated to hit theaters in 2017.
