Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter, announced that Rob has been cast in the movie Good Time. The movie will be directed by brother duo Josh and Benny Safdie.

In May, we got a glimpse of Rob as he walked on the red carpet of the movie Heaven Knows What. Who would have thought at that time he was actually out supporting the directors of his new film.

Good Time will center on a bank robber’s flailing efforts to evade the dragnet closing in on him. Rob will be cast in the role of Connie.
The Safdie brothers have recently signed on with WME and have a long line of indie films under their belts. Besides Heaven Knows What, they have also directed Daddy Longlegs, which played at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and the 2010 Sundance Film Festival; the doc Lenny Cooke, which followed a star high school basketball player and played at Tribeca and Venice before airing on Showtime in February 2014; and their debut feature, The Pleasure of Being Robbed, which premiered at SXSW in 2008 and also played at the Cannes sidebar Directors’ Fortnight before airing on IFC. We are always anxiously awaiting any movie news that Rob will be in and this came up out of the blue. His current project, The Lost City of Z, is slated to begin filming in the near future. The Childhood of a Leader is listed in post-production and it was just announced that Life will premiere will be screened at the Sitges Film Festival. So all in all we have a busy year ahead of us!!
