FOX’s Prison Break Phaecia Review

When Michael gets in a jam, he really gets in a jam.

This week on Prison Break, Michael (Wentworth Miller), and the Ogygia gang are trying to get out and getting nothing but trouble for their time. We know from the original series, that nothing is ever easy, but I think this is even more than Michael or Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) had bargained for. Getting out of Yemen and through a desert may be even hard for Michael to navigate.

Hello Old Friend

Lincoln gets a call from Sheba (Inbar Lavi) letting them know that she and the kids and Jamil (Faran Tahir) are all safe, and he must call Omar. Watching Lincoln flirt with a Muslim woman, was too adorable. He offered to buy her a drink when they get out, and she said, I don’t drink, but I can buy you one.

Taking Sheba’s advice, of course they called Omar (Akin Gazi). Omar if you’ll recall was the one that has been not so nice in the past to Lincoln. Lincoln may still hold a grudge about him taking his passport.

Fleeing as most are doing, they find him loading his car with all he can carry. Of course Omar had to be shady when the guys asked if they could come. Can you say wild goose chase? Whip (Augustus Prew) stays with Omar as the men go to find the other car.

Words were exchanged and next we see Whip, tied to a pole. When the rest of the men come back, and Whip gets free, there was a beatdown. They can’t kill Omar though, he is the map they need to get through the desert and to freedom.

Everything Is About Connections

I wasn’t shocked to say the least when A&W (Marina Benedict) and Van Gough (Steve Mouzakis) were released from the jail. It was cute really, Van Gough was let out first and paid A&W’s bail. She was a little hurt, she thought she was Poseidon’s favorite after-all. A&W is all business when the next part of the plan comes into play, use our old connections to find Kaniel Outis and kill him.

The plan almost works, but I mean come on it can’t end with a death, just yet right? The drone closes in, and who suddenly shows up, the bad guys. That tips of whatever alphabet soup of the government that A&W and Van Gough went running to. There was no way the bad guys could have them, unless someone squealed.

Things don’t go well with A&W and her ally at the government.

It Was a One Eyed Mad Man

Ok we all remember Cyclops (Amin El Gamal) right? I mean he’s hard to forget right? His fellow comrades find him where Linc and company left him, handcuffed to Sid. Naturally they make fun of him, and tell him it only happened because he has one eye. I guess bullying comes in all shapes sizes and races.

They get him free, and tell him to stay as if he was a dog. After all they got a call to the whereabouts of the Americans (thanks Van Gough) and they were on a kill mission.

Not to be left behind Cyclops grabs a gun and takes a car from a woman, and goes on after them. With all that determination, that man could do anything.

What Is Michael Up To

As the men are gassing up the cars and filling canteens with gas, Michael has a sudden urge to surf the net. Well maybe it was a little bit of a mission, he mumbled about not wanting to be under Poseidon’s finger anymore. The men baulk, but we all know that when Michael sets his mind to do something there is no getting him to back down.

Very conveniently whomever he was skyping with’s picture wasn’t coming through on Michael’s end. Michael could hear him, and his voice didn’t sound like any we’ve heard before, so who know’s who was at the other end. Michael did get a screen shot off to him of the palms of his hands.

Everything Goes Boom

Michael gets out of the stop, just as everything starts going sideways. The bad guys (that were tipped off from earlier) catch up to our gang. They have weapons and so do we right? Well we have a gun with one bullet. What can one bullet do? In the hands of Whip, he aims for the fuel truck and all goes boom.

Prison Break Phaecia ReviewThe men try to regroup an catch their breath, but that is short lived as who comes into view with a big bad gun, Cyclops. The men quickly get into the two cars and speed off into the desert with no plan, except not to die and get to the safe point in the desert.

The men didn’t get away unscathed though. Omar was shot. We cannot let our map die, and he can’t die right? This is Prison Break, so watch what we wish for. Michael drives Omar’s truck and suddenly stops in the middle of the desert. Omar is dead.

With no map, what can the men do? With Cyclops behind them, the only to do is drive. The gang splits up, Michael goes one way and Linc, Whip and Ja (Rick Yune) go in another direction. The tracks will give them away, they need a diversion. Why does Michael always have to be the diversion?

Nowhere To Run To, Nowhere to Hide

Prison Break Phaecia ReviewMichael zigs and Linc goes zag, and Cyclops takes the bait and follows Michael aka Kaniel Outis. The biggest problem, how does Michael get out of this. He has no gas in his tank, he has no reserved gas, and Cyclops, has enough to follow and then kill Kaniel Outis.

No where to hide, what was Michael going to do?

Michael gets a gleam in his eye, when he figures out a plan, and last night’s episode still held true to that. Like a mirage out of no where there was a rock formation. I honestly had no idea or even a single thought as to what he was going to do. A man of mystery Michael is.

Paradise Found

We all have taken Ja for granted, admit it. He did come in last week, when the gang needed him, so is it shocking that he would this week to? Nothing but sand around, no idea if they are heading north, south, east, or west he tells them to listen. Flying overhead are gulls, seagulls. Seagulls won’t be around sand in the desert unless there is water around. Follow the gulls, they can and will lead the way.

Ja came to the rescue again, he was right. The gulls let them right to the place, of bliss and happiness. The car was instantly recognized and they all were looking for Omar. Linc didn’t exactly say that he was dead, just that they were there, the good were there, and they were told they could get passage on a ship.

These people clearly will believe anything, they went right along with it.

Nightfall was approaching and no sign of Michael.

Can’t Kill What You Can’t See

Michael hides, while his car just was driving on its own, or sliding. Naturally Cyclops falls for it and rushes to the car. No sign of Michael in the car, but behind Cyclops car. Figuring he could slip in easily and make a getaway, he tries. Your wits can only get you so far. Naturally Cyclops with his semi-automatic aimed at Michael and the car, he shoots up the car. Michael jumps towards him, with a knife and tries to get him, Michael gets injured before he stabs him in his eye, the good one.

Michael makes a getaway, but what direction to go.

Paradise Almost Lost

Nightfall has arrived, and no Michael at basecamp. Michael had long since left the car, as it broke down finally, is losing blood. Falling over and about to give up, he has a flashback that gives him just the right dose of energy. Of course the flashback gave us all the feels as it was of the previous seasons and of course Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and little Michael. Just as his eyes open he sees the fireworks that Linc and the gang are setting off for the kids. That was the extra boost he needed to stagger to camp and he does, and falls down, he needs medical help and fast.

Welcome To Graceland

In what has to be the most bizarre twist, turn or what have you, A&W and Van Gough traced the video chat Michael made in Yemen, along with his picture of his hands up. Will these two not quit? The ip address leads them to Portland, Maine. House looks normal and very quiet from the outside, and then they go in. Well first, they knock and Elvis opens the door and that’s not only the most bizarre thing, the inside of the house is a replica of Graceland, yes that Graceland.

What Now

  • Who the heck is Elvis and what is his connection to Michael?
  • Why Graceland
  • Is Michael really Kaniel Outis
  • Will Sara get to Michael in time
  • Who is Poseidon?

So many more questions and more answers needed and only three more episodes left of Prison Break.
