Outlander’s cast for Season 2 continues to grow. Claire Sermonne, an actress of French and Russian ancestry, has been cast as Louise de Rohan. The historical figure, who also appears in Diana Gabaldon’s Dragonfly in Amber, is a frivolous and animated member of the French Court. Claire befriends Louise during her tenure in Paris, and although the two women come from completely different worlds, they strike up a genuine friendship.
Among the new additions to the cast: Andrew Gower (Prince Charles Edward Stuart), Margaux Chatelier (Jamie’s former love, Annalise de Marillac), Laurence Dobiesz (Black Jack Randall’s younger brother, Alex), Marc Duret (Monsieur Joseph Duverney, the Minister of Finance to Louis XV), Stanley Weber (Le Comte St. Germain), Robert Cavanah (Jamie’s cousin Jared), Dominique Piñon (healer Master Raymond), Rosie Day (Mary Hawkins), and Romann Berrux (Fergus, a French pickpocket who is loyal to the Frasers).
