Meet Marvel’s Runaways

We all watch the hit series Runaways on HULU and know so little about the actors and the characters, we want to fix that. So without further delay Meet Marvel’s Runaways.

 

Rhenzy Feliz

Rhenzy, attended Santa Monica High School where he majored in Drama. He landed the coveted role of Alex Wilder in Marvel’s Runaways which airs on Hulu as part of its original programming.

Alex Wilder

Alex is a loud-and-proud nerd. Admittedly a bit of a loner, Alex spends much of his free-time playing video games, but deep down, what he wants most is to reunite his childhood group of friends.

Angel Parker

Sophisticated, hard-working, and an undeniable talent, Angel has brought to life some of the most dynamic and diverse characters on screen today. Angel can currently be seen starring on Marvel’s Runaways, debuted on HULU November 21, 2017. The series follows six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other, however they must unite against a common foe: their evil parents. Angel shines as Catherine Wilder- a successful lawyer who is deliberate and calculating in both her words and actions. When it comes to family, she is fiercely loyal and a loving mother to her son, Alex (Rhenzy Feliz).

Catherine (neè Henderson), a successful lawyer, is deliberate and calculating in both her words and actions. But when it comes to her family, she’s fiercely loyal and a loving mother to her son Alex (Rhenzy Feliz.

 

Ryan Sands

Ryan is an actor and writer, known for The Wire (2002), Drew Peterson: Untouchable (2012) and Scorpion (2014). He has been married to Erin Wiley Sands since May 2013.

 

Geoffrey Wilder

Geoffrey is a man defined by the grueling path he’s taken to achieve his self-made success. A hulking presence, Geoffrey can effortlessly shift from approachable father to intimidating strategist with his son Alex (Rhenzy Feliz).

 

Gregg Sulkin

Born in London, England, Gregg attended Highgate School. Gregg made his acting debut in 2002, with the mini-series Doctor Zhivago (2002). Gregg played the lead role, Will Wagner, in the Disney Channel Original movie Avalon High (2010), which premiered on November 12th, 2010. He also appeared as Alex Russo’s werewolf boyfriend, Mason Greyback, on the Disney Channel Original series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007) & ABC Family’s (FREEFORM) Melissa & Joey (2010). He has two feature films; Camilla Dickinson and White Frog (2012). Sulkin received the “Rising Star Award” at the Hawaii International Film Festival 2011 in Honolulu.

 

Chase Stein

Chase is a lacrosse-playing, high school heartthrob. While many write him off as a dumb jock, Chase exhibits flashes of untapped brilliance in engineering, not unlike his wildly successful father’s.

Chase is a popular student at Atlas Academy and a valued player on the school’s lacrosse-team. This causes many to assume he’s one of the “jocks” and therefor of low intelligence. Much to the contrary however, Chase has exceptional talent with engineering in a similar fashion to his successful father, Victor Stein (James Marsters).

 

James Marsters,

James graduated from Davis High School and attended Juilliard, the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, and the American Conservatory Theatre. After spending ten years doing stage work he finally moved to L.A. to pursue a career in film and television. After appearing in several guest roles he finally got his big break as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). Originally the character was suppose to be killed after a few episodes but Spike became so popular that he became a regular on the show. After the show ended he appeared as Spike in the spin-off Angel (1999) and in several movies. James is also a talented musician; his band Ghost of the Robot released their first album, Mad Brilliant

Victor Stein

Victor a genius engineer, inventor, and the founder and CEO of Nemo, as well as a member of the PRIDE.

 

Ever Carradine

Ever, was born on August 6, 1974 in Los Angeles, California, USA as Ever Dawn Carradine. She is an actress, known for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Bubble Boy (2001) and Guns for Hire (2015). She has been married to Coby Brown since October 1, 2005. They have two children.

Janet Stein

Janet is a perfect PTA mom. Harboring a brilliant mind of her own, she has made deep sacrifices for her husband’s world-changing career. Though she hides it for the wellbeing of her son Chase (Gregg Sulkin), Janet longs for more from her life.

 

Lyrica Okano

Lyrica, is an actress and producer, known for Runaways (2017), Ikenhisu: To Kill with One Blow (2009) and Pimp (2016).

Nico Minoru

Nico is a tough, intelligent, independent and embodies teenage angst. Nico’s carefully crafted goth appearance isolates her from her peers and family.

Powers

Like her mother, Nico is the only other magic user capable of activating the Staff of One.

 

Brittany Ishibashi

Brittany, was born on November 2, 1980 in Orange, California, USA as Brittany Mariko Ishibashi. She is an actress, known for Runaways (2017), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) and This Is Us (2016). She has been married to Jeff Horowitz since May 29, 2011. They have one child.

 

Tina Minoru

Tina is a Master of the Mystic Arts and Master of the Hong Kong Sanctum as well as the CEO of Wizard and a member of the PRIDE.

She is a ruthless and stern individual. She is frequently dominant over her husband Robert (James Yaegashi, and is cold towards her own daughter Nico (Lyrica Okano), pushing for Nico’s academic success. Her presence and actions make her feared in PRIDE, such as when she scared the Yorkes from leaving the group when they attempted to flee to Yucatan.

 

James Yaegashi:

Son of a Japanese father and American mother, James was born in Yokohama and raised in Yamagata, Japan. He was educated in the Japanese system for the nation’s compulsory education and moved to the U.S. after high school. He received an MFA in acting and directing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

James moved to NYC in ’98 and has worked since as an actor for the stage, TV and film. He has originated many roles on and off Broadway including A Naked Girl on the Appian Way (costarring with Jill Clayburgh and Matthew Morrison), John Guare’s A Few Stout Individuals. His credits also include characters in world-premier stage adaptations of literary classics such as Yunioshi in Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway and Toru in Haruki Murakami’s The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle at the Edinburgh Int’l Festival and the Singapore Arts Festival.

 

 

Robert Minoru

Robert is the warm and gentle co-founder of Wizard, and one of the members of PRIDE.

Mr. Minoru is one of the more compassionate members of PRIDE, compared to his wife Tina (Brittany Ishibashi). Warm and gentle, he is more supportive of Nico (Lyrica Okano).

Following the death of his eldest daughter Amy, Robert has had an icy relationship with Tina. While she is considerably more dominant over him, he intends on cheating on her with Janet Stein (Ever Carradine), especially since she has an abusive husband. Amy’s death has also left Robert with a sense of guilt over not being able to protect her, one of the factors behind his willingness to sacrifice himself.

 

 

Allegra Acosta

Allegra, was born December 12, 2002 in El Paso, Texas. At 6, she began singing and acting in school events and local theatre. After winning 1st place in an LA singing, acting and modeling convention in early 2012, her current manager approached her about moving to LA with her family; within six months they’d become Angelinos.

Allegra has appeared in several national commercials. During 2014, she played Abigail in director Gabriel Cowen’s short film LOS, based on a writing class Cowen taught at The Juvenile Detention Center. Allegra also landed a spot on a Nickelodeon Creative Lab show and guest starred in the series 100 Things to Do Before High School.

Molly Hernandez,

Molly the youngest and most innocent member of her friend group, is known for her peppy positivity and a deep yearning to belong.

Superhuman Strength: Upon hitting puberty Molly began to demonstrate the ability to use superhuman strength in times of need. When doing so her eyes gain an orange hue. However, the use of her powers tires her to the point of falling asleep right on the spot.

 

Ariela Barer

Ariela, is an actress, known for Runaways (2017), One Day at a Time (2017) and Atypical (2017).

Gert Yorkes

Gert is a purple-haired, bespectacled, contemporary riot grrrl. Never passing up a moment to stand on a soapbox, Gert sometimes wields her persona as a brash social justice warrior to mask her true feelings.

On the surface, Gert appears to be rebellious and confrontational. Consistently promoting a radical Social Justice agenda to anyone who will listen.
Telepathic Link:

Gert possesses a telepathic link with Old Lace, allowing her to form a bond with the creature and command it.

 

 

Brigid Brannagh

Brigid was born on August 3, 1972 in San Francisco, California, USA as Brigid E. Walsh. She is an actress, known for Army Wives (2007), Runaways (2017) and Over There (2005). She is married to Justin Lyons.

 

Stacey Yorkes

Stacey is an absent-minded and professorial bioengineer. Perpetually dawning Birkenstocks and a messy bun, Stacey utilizes a progressive approach to her parenting style to Gert (Ariela Barer).

KEVIN WEISMAN

Kevin Weisman

Is internationally known for his work as Marshall Flinkman on the ABC series Alias. Recently, Kevin appeared as series regular Kives on Stephen Merchant’s two time Emmy nominated HBO comedy series, Hello Ladies, as well as recurring characters Dr. Jeffrey Maynard on NBC’s The Blacklist, Ray Spiewack on Scorpion (CBS), and a memorable turn as Stevie in the critically acclaimed series, Better call Saul on AMC. He will recur as Ned Berring in the upcoming first season of the David Kelly/Jonathan Shapiro drama, Goliath, opposite academy award winners, Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt, as well as Molly Parker, Nina Arianda and Maria Bello. Goliath premiered in the fall of 2016 on Amazon.

 

Dale Yorkes

Dale is a beardy, dad-core bioengineer. Incredibly science-minded, he has a deep love for his family but oftentimes falls short at knowing the right things to say to Gert (Ariela Barer).

 

Virginia Gardner

Virginia, was born on April 18, 1995 in Sacramento, California, USA as Virginia Elizabeth Gardner. She is an actress, known for Project Almanac (2015), Tell Me How I Die (2016) and Runaways (2017).

Karolina Dean

Karolina, model-perfect exterior with tons going on behind her smile. She is burdened by the expectations and responsibilities put upon her by her parents. Underneath it all, Karolina is experiencing an eagerness to explore her identity and pursue her own desires.

Powers:

When she removes her bracelet, Karolina’s skin emits an aura of colorful, moving light.

Karolina is able to project beams of light which are capable of blinding her enemies.

Karolina is able to fly, evidenced by when she almost fell off the Wizard Headquarters Tower.

 

Kip Pardue

Kip, was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 23, 1975. He grew up playing football and baseball and graduated from Dunwoody High School, located in Atlanta, Georgia in 1994. The next year he was recruited to play football by Yale University. He graduated in 1998 with a degree in Economics. Kip headed west afterwards and enjoyed a successful career as a model for Abercrombie & Fitch and Polo. Soon after he next turned to acting and landed TV roles on 7th Heaven (1996) and was cast as Josh Ford on the WB hit Popular (1999) before the role was later re-cast.

He made his film debut in the racy independent flick But I’m a Cheerleader (1999) and later Whatever It Takes (2000), Kip got his big break with his role in Remember the Titans (2000) with Denzel Washington. He then starred as Sylvester Stallone’s Indy racing protégé in Driven (2001).

Frank Dean 

Frank is a former teen star who rode a short-lived movie career and is now teeming with insecurity. Floundering in his professional career as an actor; Frank is seeking to renew purpose in his life while being a father to Karolina (Virgina Gardner).

 

 

Annie Wersching

Annie Wersching was born on March 28, 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA as Anne Wersching. She is an actress, known for 24 (2001), Bosch (2014) and Castle (2009). She has been married to Stephen Full since September 6, 2009. They have two children.

Leslie Dean

Leslie (neè Ellerh) is the head of the Church of Gibborimand one the leader of PRIDE.
