Who is Katy Perry “first special guest” for Super Bowl halftime show?

Three weeks before Katy Perry is set to take the stage she announces that she invited Lenny Kravitz to be her “first special guest” at the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show in Glendale, Ariz., on Feb. 1. Perry announced the news during today’s NBC broadcast of the NFL playoff game in New England. “My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock ‘n’ roll icon, a guitar god,” she told NBC’s Willie Geist, before inviting Kravitz.

Geist then speculated that “American Woman” might be on the set list. “We’ll see,” Perry said.

Geist’s entire interview with Perry will air on Monday’s Today show, and the fact that the singer specified that Kravitz was the “first special guest” hints that she might have more news to share on that front.
