Jessica Jones Season 2 Brings Back David Tennant

Jessica Jones villain Kilgrave is apparently back to torment Marvel’s super private detective again – as we see in this Jessica Jones season 2 set photo released by EW!

Marvel fans are going to be celebrating, as Kilgrave (Doctor Who’s David Tennant) is definitely a fan favorite. He’s the villain you love to hate, and hate some more.

Check out the Set Photo Below, and read on to learn the latest on Jessica Jones.

Jessica Jones Season 2

David Tennant’s Kilgrave earned his place as one of the most acclaimed villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by horrifically torturing Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) – mind, body, and soul – with his Terrible mind-control powers.

When season 1 of Jessica Jones ended, Kilgrave had wreaked havoc with Jessica’s life at every angle (including her new friend, Luke Cage), but Jessica ended the threat once and for all by snapping the villain’s neck. She was exonerated for the crime with help from hot-shot lawyer Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). Now Jessica works as a private investigator.

Fans will have tons of questions about how and why Kilgrave is being brought back for Jessica Jones season 2. Is he just a voice in Jessica’s head? Will we see more flashbacks to the terrible period of time Jessica spent under his control? Can we maybe a bit of both?

Before we get ahead of ourselves, Jessica will taking on another case that brings her back into contact with Luke Cage (Mike Colter) – Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and Iron Fist  (Finn Jones) – as Marvel and Netflix’s Defenders crossover event airs this coming weekend (August 18th, 2017). How that event affects and reshapes Jessica remains to be seen.

Jessica Jones season 2 airs sometime in 2018. The Defenders airs on Netflix starting August 19th
