Jared Leto will produce and star in a new biopic about artist Andy Warhol
In a deal brokered by CAA, Jared Leto has signed on to produce and star in a new Andy Warhol bio pic based on the book Warhol: The Biography by Victor Bockris. Terrence Winter is set to pen the script for the film. Michael De Luca (producer, Fifty Shades Darker) will produce along side Leto.
Jared Leto’s schedule is filling up quickly. He is currently in Budapest filming Blade Runner 2. By the end of the month he will have moved on to London to begin production on the film The Outsider, directed by Martin Zandvliet. Rumors continue persistently regarding whether or not we will see more of Leto’s Joker character in upcoming DC films. In addition, his band Thirty Seconds to Mars has been in the studio working on a new album to be released in 2017. No word yet on when the frontman will find time in his schedule to tour while promoting all of his upcoming films.
