Hottie of the Week – Riley Voelkel.
For this Hottie of the Week we turn our attention to the eldest Mikaelson sibling. No, not Finn (sorry Caspar) but the lovely Freya, played by Riley Voelkel.
The lovely Riley first appeared in The Originals in season 3 but it wasn’t her first time playing a New Orleans witch. She previously played the young incarnation of Fiona Goode, the Supreme Witch played by Jessica Lange in American Horror Story: Coven.
Riley got her break as a model after a talent scout signed her up, she moved to LA and started taking acting classes.
Her first acting role was an uncredited appearance in The Social Network as a club goer.
You might also recognise Riley as Jenna Johnson from The Newsroom. She played the college co-ed in the first episode who asked Will McAvoy what makes America the greatest country in the world – prompting his iconic reply to the contrary.

She returned in season 3, working with Will and the rest of the team.
