Halloween is Back
The original Scream Queen took to twitter yesterday to make a pretty huge announcement. Jamie Lee Curtis, who played Laurie Strode in the Halloween movies told the world that she will return. Yep, that’s right, the Halloween is Back!
"Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18." pic.twitter.com/IvptiZctyw

Now, forgive me, but aren’t they missing a trick with that release date? October 19th, really? Surely holding it back for a few more days until, y’know, Halloween would have made more marketing sense? But what do we know?
Curtis has been hitting screens recently as Dean Munch in Scream Queens, but it’s going to be great to see her stepping back into those high waisted jeans as Laurie once more.
There’s not a lot of info about the new instalment in the franchise yet. The synopsis on IMDb reads as follows
Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Now… there’s a slight issue here. Well, more than slight. If you’ve kept up with the franchise you might be wondering how on earth this is possible since *SPOILER ALERT* Laurie died in Halloween: Resurrection. I’m sure that this will be addressed in due course. I for one look forward to the release next year.
I will be keeping an eye on this one as it develops and will keep you updated FANdemaniacs. Now, who’s up for a Halloween Franchise rewatch?
