Flashpoint: The Official Title to The Flash Movie
When fans of DC Comics made plans to go to San Diego Comic Con 2017, it was expected that there would be tons of amazing news for the DC Extended Universe. One highly anticipated piece of news fan have been waiting on is what the execs would name the upcoming The Flash Movie. Well, the wait is over, it’s finally official! DC Comics announced the official title to the movie is Flashpoint.
Originally written as a mini series by DC Films head Geoff Johns in 2011, the story follows Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), as he wakes up and learns that the world he knew is not the same; his mother is alive, his father died of a heart attack and not in prison and Superman, The Justice League and The Flash do not exist. As the world around him is threatened by an upcoming war between Aquaman and Wonder Woman, Barry learns that the world of Flashpoint is not an alternate dimension, but his own.
Excitement From Not Only Fans but Celebs
News of the announcement seemed to travel fast not only amongst fans, but also celebrities that may have an interest in the movie. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who was featured at the beginning of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Thomas Wayne had previously expressed his interest to see the storyline adapted. He tweeted out:

Since the announcement came in a snippet of DC Comics news, the storyline is still in development. I guess fans will have to wait a little while longer to see what they decide and if Morgan will get his wish.
The movie is slated for release in 2020.
