‘Fifty Shades’ Sequels To Shoot Back to Back

Jamie Dornan-Christian Grey-Fifty Shades Darker

Some good news for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, James Foley will shoot both sequels (Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed) back to back next year.  Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will be returning in their lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Universal Pictures is slated to release the Niall Leonard adapted sequels in February 2017 (Fifty Shades Darker) and February 2018 (Fifty Shades Freed).  Leonard is not only an author and screenwriter, but also the husband of EL James, author of the series.  Leonard is new to the series after screenwriter Kelly Marcel opted to not come back.  Foley is also replacing director Sam Taylor Johnson after her departure.

As of now, there has been no other casting news announced.
