Darren Criss Joins ‘Supergirl’/’The Flash’ Musical Crossover

Glee star Darren Criss will take on the role of the Music Meister.

Gleeks of the world, unite! As if it wasn’t enough that former Glee stars Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin are teaming up for a forthcoming crossover musical episode, today it was announced that Darren Criss will be joining them.

source: we heart it

Taking on the role of villain Music Meister, Criss joins a cast already packed with singing talent. Besides the obvious former Glee Club members, the crossover will feature the voices of Broadway stars Jesse L. Martin (Joe), Victor Garber (Dr. Stein), John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn) and Jeremy Jordan (Winn). Carlos Valdes who plays Cisco on The Flash will also be singing.

The Music Meister was bullied as a child for singing in the choir – something all the ex-Glee cast are familiar with. He found that when he sang higher notes he could hypnotize people and force them to do his will. He used the ability to get back at his bullies before moving on to super heroes!

The musical crossover is scheduled to start in the Supergirl episode airing March 20th and then continue into that week’s episode of The Flash.

We already know from previous crossovers that leads Grant and Melissa have great chemistry. Grant was originally cast in Glee as the frankly villainous Sebastian, who had a massive thing for Darren Criss’ Blaine. He was bad, but man could he rock a blazer. Check out the vid below and let us know what you think this Glee reunion/face off will be like!
