Dakota Fanning Lands Lead in Untitled Coming-of-Age Film

Dakota Fanning flashes a smile as she makes her way outside of LAX Airport after arriving back in town on Sunday (December 1) in Los Angeles.

According to Deadline, the 19-year-old actress just landed the lead role in Gerardo Naranjo’s untitled coming-of-age story.

The film centers on Viena (Fanning), a roadie who’s on a journey of self-discovery and survival as part of a punk band’s convoy, traveling through America circa the 1980s.

The month before, Dakota was spotted talking on her cell phone as she strolled through Soho with a cup of coffee in New York City.
