The CW Releases Mid-Season Line Up

The CW Midseason Schedule

Find out when The 100, The Originals and others will return.

The dreaded mid-season hiatus period is rapidly approaching. What better time for The CW to release it’s line up for shows in the new year? Most of the CW mid-season replacements take over the week after current shows air their finales but there are a couple of day/time shifts too.

The biggest change being DC’s Legends of Tomorrow moving to Tuesday nights at 9 as of January 24th. It takes over that slot from No Tomorrow which airs its first season finale the week before. Fellow freshman show Frequency wraps up on Wednesday January 25th and The 100 takes over its 9pm slot as of February 1st.

Reign will be back in the 9pm slot on February 10th after the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season finale the previous week.

Another big change is Supernatural moving up an hour to the 8pm slot to make way for new show Riverdale, from exec producer Greg Berlanti  (he of just about every DC show going right now).

If, like me, you’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of the Mikaelson siblings in The Originals then I am afraid I have some bad news. Season 4 will not premiere until March 17th! The Originals will be taking over the slot currently occupied by the show it spun off from, The Vampire Diaries. The Vampire Diaries will have its series finale on March 10th at 8/7c and then the following week The Originals will return.

That’s not the latest premiere though, as iZombie doesn’t return until April 4th!

Which CW Mid-season shows are you most excited to have back? Is there something that’s ending that you don’t want to see go? Let us know!
