How I became a fan of … Books: I fell in love reading because it offered an escape into these brilliantly constructed fantasy worlds, filled with characters I adored and experiences that were beyond my own realm of possibility. As a child, I was obsessed with The Giving Tree and Where the Wild Things Are. As I grew older, I fell in complete love with the Sweet Valley series, and eventually started reading a lot of New Adult, Adult Contemporary, Erotica, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and other genres. Now that grad school is completed and in the rear view, I’ve been able to dedicate a lot of time to pleasure reading, and I’ve been devouring as many novels and novellas as I possibly can.

Fave Musician/Band: I love so many different types of music, but at the top of my list are: Butch Walker, Marvelous 3, Train, Bush, No Doubt, Alice in Chains, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, The Fray, and Poison.

Fave TV Show: Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, The Hills, Gossip Girl, Jersey Shore, Cash Cab, and a few others. I don’t want too much TV, but I tend to get enamored with cheesy reality television when I do.

Fave Actor/Actress: Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Lawrence, Johnny Depp, Diane Lane, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, Peter Krause, Bradley Cooper

Fave Movie: Gah so many once again! Here’s a few: Empire Records, Dirty Dancing, All the President’s Men, Remember Me, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original version), anything from John Hughes, Clueless, The Cake Eaters.

Fave Author: Nicholas Sparks, Paullina Simons, Armistead Maupin, S.L. Scott, Alice Clayton, Kim Stanley Robinson, J.K. Rowling, and so many more.

Fave Book: So many, here’s just a few: The Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, The Girl in Times Square by Paullina Simons, the Tales of the City series by Armistead Maupin, Wallbanger by Alice Clayton, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, anything by Nicholas Sparks, the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris.

Fan-Fic lover? What are your faves: I’m a lover and a writer of fan-fic (I’m known as blueeyedcherry over in that world). Tell us something about you: I absolutely love blogging. The online community I’ve fell into over the past five or six years has become my home-away-from-home and the place I go to when I need to escape the stressors of every day life. I co-own a Robert Pattinson fansite, RobNation.org. I hope to use my education, passion, and experience in the field to someday author legislation that pertains specifically to individuals with developmental disabilities and the mental health field. Some people say they want to change the world; I say this and work toward it each and every day.
