Will Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum Join Forces?

Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum

Yes we all know that the new Ghostbusters reboot is filming as we speak.  However, did you know that there is a slight possibility of Sony Pictures putting out another Ghostbusters film? Screenwriter Drew Pearce was contacted by Sony to write the script for something they “may” want to do in the future.  There is no guarantee that they would take his version, but if they did, his dream cast would include not only Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World), but also Channing Tatum (Magic Mike, 21 Jump Street).

“That’s definitely the cast we’ve been thinking about as we approach the project. Whether that happens or not is very much above my pay grade. It’s just my job to give them something exciting that maybe they’ll do.”

Now that is definitely a combination I could agree with!

Pearce took to Twitter yesterday to clarify that he hasn’t written the script, more a bible, for the film.

MTV did catch up with Pearce to discuss the possible picture and he had this to say:

“I’ve finished my work on that in the last couple weeks. Obviously it’s top secret, but there’s a gigantic bold idea that I came up with, and the Russo brothers — who did Captain America: The Winter Soldier and are doing Civil War at the moment — and Ivan Reitman, who did the original movie, are going to take that and run with it. Obviously I cannot tell you what it is, but hopefully in one year’s time you’ll know!”

When discussing if there could be a crossover with the current all female cast:

“My personal inclination is to try and make everything occur in the same Ghostbusters universe, because I feel, as a fan, that’s what I would want. Here in New York, you just wanna tie it all together. Whether that happens or not we’ll see, but I’ve certainly given them the tools to do that, I hope.”

So, let’s keep our fingers crossed that they can make this dream cast happen!!
