Chris Pine to co-star in ‘Wonder Woman’ opposite Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman has found her love interest in Star Trek’s Chris Pine. The actor will play Steve Trevor in Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman movie.

We’ve learned that Pine has closed his deal to star in Wonder Woman.

“Steve Trevor will be no mere love interest for Gadot’s Diana Prince, as there will be plenty of action to keep him busy, though plot details remain under wraps,” says The Wrap.

Pine could potentially have a new franchise on his hands if Wonder Woman proves to be a big hit for Warner Bros. His deal reportedly includes an option for sequels.

PLOT:

The character, Steve Trevor, is an intelligence officer in the U.S. army during WW II whose plane crashed on Paradise Island, which is the homeland of the Amazons, where Wonder Woman comes from.

He was then nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who ends up falling in love with him and follows him when he returns to Earth.

We think Chris Pine would be great in the first Wonder Woman film FANdemaniacs, and it’s exciting to think about him being involved in the Justice League franchise in the future. What do you think of these possibilities? We want to hear from you below!

Wonder Woman will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
