Breaking – CW to launch Constantine Animated Series

Constantine news from the TCAs

We have just heard that The CW have announced plans for an upcoming Constantine animated series. The character will be voiced by Matt Ryan, who played him in the short lived NBC series. Matt also voiced the character in the animated Justice League Dark. He has always maintained since his show’s cancellation that he would return as the titular mage if the chance arose.

The show will appear on the CWSeed and, as per most of their content, episodes will run about 10 minutes in length.

There’s little else at the moment but we will keep our finger on the pulse and bring you any more details as they emerge.

UPDATE – Here’s a look at the first piece of key art from the CW Seed – how badass does this look?

UPDATE 2

Animated Constantine will be exec produced by Greg Berlanti and written by David S. Goyer.
