NikkisReview

**I received an ebook ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review**

I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next book in this series. I devoured When Fates Collide, and immediately fell in love with Lily and Gavin. When I found out there would be not one, but two more books coming out, I was completely giddy.

When Fate Isn’t Enough opens right where the first book left off. Lily heads across the pond with Gavin, and though she doesn’t know how long she plans to stay in London, finds herself feeling at home there. Of course nothing can be easy for this couple, and unfortunately for Lily her deceased husband’s legacy still haunts her. Not only are these two learning how to navigate life together with each other, but they’re navigating the minefield that they’ve been left to deal with.

I didn’t know it was possible, but I think I fell a bit more in love with Gavin as I read this book. Richards has created this amazing man who really has everything, but he’s so unassuming and giving and just this overall great person. Of course I adore Lily too, and I was happy to see that she kept her wits about her in this book and stayed just as strong-willed and independent as she was in When Fates Collide. Even though her need to do things independently sometimes causes more trouble than it does good, the fact that Richards made her main lead in this series fierce and awesome is one of my favorite things about it.

Richards kept the storyline moving with plenty of action as well as sweet and sexy moments with our favorite couple. There were a few moments where my jaw hit the floor, a few where I wanted to cry for the characters, and a few where I wanted to tear my hair out because I was infuriated. I love when writers are so good that they generate these massive emotional reactions from me, and that’s precisely what When Fate Isn’t Enough did.

I loved what Richards did with the additional characters in this book. Of course Em was still there and she’s just as sassy and fabulous as ever, but Gavin’s best mates are introduced, and oh my gooooood, they’re both fantastic! I found myself wishing I could read more of these characters and know more about them, because they’re so incredibly crafted.

The end of this one … Gah! I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say Richards has done it again, and I’m not sure how I’m going to wait for the next installment in this story. I want to know everything right. This. Minute.

Five stars to this one. Such an addicting read!
