Rho has spent the last few years on the run. The Lucidin that is racing through his system makes him a target. Surrounded by addicts and dealers on one side and scientists and doctors on the other, he has to rely on his wits and his team to stay one step ahead. So far he has stayed afloat, but some of his brothers haven’t been as lucky.
As Rho and Raleigh collide they must face the perilous world of Lucidin together. Nothing is black-and-white and Raleigh must decide where her alliances lie. Sometimes the hardest heart to sense is your own.
Do you have any tricks you use to get into the mood to write or do you simply sit down and roll with it?
Usually I just roll with it, but if I am having a hard time being inspired I take a walk or a hike. Usually by the time I get home I am ready to sit down and write.
Where do you get inspiration for your characters and plot lines?
My inspiration for plot lines usually comes from school lectures or non-fiction. I write science fiction, so I let the science inspire me. The characters usually come after the plot line.
How old were you when you started writing?
My parents say that I used to ramble on with stories ever since I could talk. I made my first picture book when I was four and have been writing ever since.
If you could collaborate with any famous author, who would it be and why?
Sam Kean. He’s a non-fiction author, but has a really interesting voice and I love how he makes everything he writes interesting. I would love to discuss ideas with him.
If you could spend a day with any fictional character, which one would it be and why?
Hercule Poirot. Agatha Christie really got me into reading when I was a kid, and he was my favorite character. I would love to meet him.
