Beyond Season Summary

After months of seeing little previews and snippets of Beyond I couldn’t wait to watch the series. I was sure that it was going to be all about aliens, I mean that’s what it looked like. With all the hype for Stranger Things (that I still haven’t watched) I figured this was just going to be a knock off of that… boy was I ever wrong. Welcome to my Beyond Season Summary.
Beyond
Beyond follows a teen boy named Holden who quickly turns into a man in the very first episode. You see, Holden has an accident and ends up in a coma for 12 years. When he wakes up he’s 25 years old. Lucky b****** got to skip puberty!
But seriously, Holden has to see himself not as a teenager anymore, he has to see himself now as a grown man. He has to learn about computers and the internet and how you should probably text somebody before you call them. He has to remeet his family and find out maybe they aren’t what they use to be 12 years ago. And on top of all of that he starts seeing things but aren’t there but maybe they are there. A creepy old guy keeps appearing and talking to him then disappearing. Oh and he sleep walks.
And let’s talk girls. There’s at least 3 different ones that come in and out of his life and he seems to fall for them all so quickly but only one really matters in the end.
This poor guy has a lot to deal with and then of course here come the bad guys. One who wears the most horrible yellow leather jacket and 80s style glasses and is creepy AF. The other one we don’t meet until the last 3 episodes. He ends up being the creepiest of all and is related to one of the main characters.
I’m not going to tell you what it ends up being because I really want other people to watch it and be just as hooked on this really confusing crazy mysterious show as I am. I will tell you it’s not aliens. I will also tell you he’s not a mutant either.
Beyond does make you think about reality and man, and the power of the brain and life and death and if there really is life after death. Hell and Heaven and that place in between. Religion, love and loss and not wanting to let go.
I still really haven’t figured out what the hell is going on but I’m very happy to know that Beyond was renewed for a second season. Maybe I’ll get some answers to my questions then.
So please go watch Beyond, come back and comment and let me know what you think. I can’t be the only one who’s wondering what the hell is going on with Holden.
