Assassin‘s Creed Odyssey Week| Explore Ancient Greece Like Never Before | Combat
We all here at FANdemonium Network love a huge bunch of TV shows, movies and comics. After a while we came up with the idea of trying to cover games as well. I for myself am a huge fan of PS4 games and that’s why we thought this could be a great idea. After E3 2018 happening a few days back, I’m extremely excited to talk about the new Assassin‘s Creed game that’s coming this year. So keep following if you’re a gaming geek (even if you are not, maybe that will change soon) and enjoy the ride into Ancient Greece with Assassin‘s Creed Odyssey!
What can we expect?
As many of you I got pretty damn excited when I read the news about a new assassin’s creed game that will already launch in OCTOBER! After we got a teaser trailer we have the full information from E3 2018 and now know a lot about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The Game is set in 431 BC in Ancient Greece and follows the story of either Alexios or Kassandra – the choice is yours. 17 years after they’re cast out of Sparta and left for dead following a family tragedy and a dark prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi. The story already does sound amazing BUT what really changes the game is that everything is about YOUR CHOICE.
While Assassin’s Creed Origins had RPG elements included in its open world structure, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is taking the RPG to the next level. They are offering greater player choice than ever before – with dialogue options, choice-based gameplay and even multiple endings.
The release date
I think we all were extremely curious WHEN the game will be released – AMAZING NEWS – we only have to wait until October 5th! I for myself thought we would have to wait longer to finally get into the game but here we are only about 4 months away until it all starts. It took the creators three years to get Assassin‘s Creed Odyssey done and it will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Combat Changes Since AC Origins
In that section of the game we have HUGE changes since Assassin’s Creed Origins. Not only do you see wounds appear in real time, with blood flowing a lot more freely in Ancient Greece, but if you get hurt and dive into the water, blood flows behind you from your wounds.
We’ve had great fighting scenes and skills before but this will change with this game – we’ve got a lot more and different skills then before. For example the sparta kick, a shield break, a heal option and an area attack that involves leaping and smashing the ground with your spear! The customisation options are seriously impressive.
There is still a huge choice of weapons but now you can suit them to your character’s abilities and your playstyle. You can arm yourself with over 100 total weapons across 9 different categories.
As we remember from AC Origins, with every level-up you get points to build your fighting skills. We’ve got 3 categories, including assassin, warrior and hunter. It is your choice how you want to fight!
Another new part of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is, that we will have epic battles. We remeber we had some arenas in AC Origins but this new battles aren’t even close to what we are used to. You’ll fight in battles between 150 Spartans against 150 Athens. Let the fun begin and show off your skills!
SEA BATTLES! Finally after a long wait we will have our ship and the sea battles back! I think that was one of the best features about AC Black Flag. Exploring islands and their treasures and finding unknown locations. We have it all back in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – get your ship – we are ready to sail!
