Beyond Renewed For Second Season
Good news for fans of Freeform’s brand new show Beyond – season 2 is a go!
The show premiered on January 2nd and then season 1 was made available online to binge watch. And it seems like the tactic worked – after just 1 week the show has clocked over 7 million digital views. The news came from network president Tom Ascheim during a panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour today.
“Our goal for launching Beyond was to give the audience outstanding content in the way they want to watch it,” Ascheim said in a statement. “The response has far exceeded our greatest expectations, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and we can’t wait to bring more Beyond to its growing fan base.”
Exec producer Adam Nussdorf attributed the show’s huge success to the cast and their wide appeal. “The reason why so many people are embracing the show is because of, again, this cast, and these people you see on the stage, you really want to spend as much time as possible with them onscreen and off screen.”
