Benedict Cumberbatch and SNL ‘Meet At Last’ in Haunting First Promo
TV’s Sherlock is temporarily relocating from 221B Baker Street to Studio 8H when Benedict Cumberbatch hosts Saturday Night Live on Nov. 5.
Cumberbatch, who can next be seen in Marvel’s Doctor Strange (out on Nov. 4), is front and center in this SNL promo, speaking directly to the iconic New York studio when he declares “we meet at last” before taking center stage.
The actor may be the most fitting choice to serve as host of SNL‘s last pre-Election Day outing. The British thespian portrayed Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in the 2013 thriller The Fifth Estate. Here’s hoping he’ll reprise that role this weekend.
