Neil Patrick Harris will host the 87th annual Academy Awards on ABC. ABC will air the red carpet beginning at 7 PM ET / 4PM PT, with the ceremony to follow.
The Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman continued to rule the awards show season — at least in the major categories, but came on The Imitation Game strong. Birdman and Budapest lead the Oscar pack with nine nods each.
The academy can nominate up to 10 movies, but stopped short with eight this year.
